We originally set out to fly from Buenos Aires to Ushuaia, the most southern city in Argentina. However, when the time came, no award mile flights were available for the entire month we wanted to fly. We thought of buying the tickets but felt that the cost was a bit too much considering it was nearly twice as much as taking a bus. Yes, a bus. A 48-hour bus to be exact. I'm not quite sure how we ever came to the conclusion that it would be a good idea but we went for it. I guess we thought, "hey, we're not in a rush, let's save some money and do it."

Yummy Eats (Argentina Edition)

What we loved most about the food in Argentina was the mix of traditional dishes the country is known for along with its international food. We quickly found out there is more to Argentina than steak and wine... like pastries and ice cream! We focus our food post on Buenos Aires since that is where we did most of our eating out (especially restaurants) but we enjoyed many of the local dishes in the other cities we visited as well.

1 Place 2 Names: Foz do Iguaçu / Cataratas del Iguazu

The final stop of our short 2-week Brazil trip were the well-known Iguaçu Falls, which we traveled to from Rio. After a full 25 hour bus ride and 2 more inter-city ones, we arrived to the Brazilian side of the falls. That's right, these waterfalls are so immense that they spread across both Brazil and Argentina. Lucky for us, we got to enjoy both sides.
